In many cases you cannot call a foreign 800 number as they are blocked by the foreign phone company from receiving international calls.

Remember 800 numbers are toll-free and could cost a company a fortune in unwanted international call charges.

Most companies with international customers have a regular direct dial number as an alternative. It is usually found on their website under 'contact us'

You would need to know what country the number is in. 0800 sounds like Europe (Germany). You would dial 011+countrycode+800 number w/o leading zero.

New Zealand; 011-64-800. Just drop the first 0.
