Question:
What exactly is speed Dial?

I know this must sound like a stupid question, but I downsized my phone bill and they stated that I would no longer have free speed dial. Exactly what is that. I mean, I have numbers on memory and all I have to do it find the name and press talk and it dials it for me, is that speed dial?

i don't think that is...speed dial is to quickly phone someone(for an emergency etc.)

but if you have to search for the name..that isn't quick

speed dial is when you assign a number from 1-9 to important contacts and when you press a number and the 'dial' key it rings them

Speed Dial is when you assign a two digit code to a phone number. For instance the number is 410-777-9311 and you assign 11 , instead of having to dial that 10 digit number you just dial the two digit code 11 to automatically connect.

For instant, you've assigned number '1' to call your bestfriend, so instead of looking up for her name on your phonebook, all you need to do is hit the number '1' and it automatically dials your bestfriend's number =)

looking up the names of the people you want to call from your phonebook is not speed dial. that's the normal way of dialing =)

Speed dial is where you have a certain ammount of numbers (like emergancy ones, or close family) programmed into your phone , and when you hit a certain number of button on your phone, it dials that person automatically!
