Unavailable, withheld, restricted, out of area, private are all terms that mean the caller ID information cannot be displayed. There may be different reasons why some word is used instead of another, but it amounts to the same thing.

unavailable is usually a pay phone or a company who is not listed. Restriced is when someone has restricted there # from you or have unlisted their number. weird that the call hangs up when you answer it. Could be your crazy ex calling from a pay phone?? Call the operator and ask them to trace the call as this person is harrassing you i think it'll cost you a couple of dollars or so but it will be worth it to find out who keeps bugging you! Good Luck!

private, unavailable.... same difference...
just dial *77 to block private callers and anyone who blocks there CID from showing will have to first dial *82 to unblock there number before calling you...

You can never really know who is calling you from unavaible. It's so annoying. I've even called my cell company. If they call you under restricted and their on the phone for a certain amount of time then you can. But not unknown
