My business is expanding and I needed to get some multifunction copy/print/scan/fax machines for the office. I already have one of those big multifunction ones that handle most of the office's needs. I have 1 telephone line and 1 fax line. I have fax line/telephone line jacks throughout the office.

Recently I got 2 more multifunction printer/copier/scan/fax machines for the back office. My question is can those 2 machines be added to the existing fax line without problems? Also, how do I determine which fax machine will get the fax, since they are all on the same line?

I could use some help. Thanks!

Yes and no. If you put them all on the same phone line then they will all be able to send a FAX, one at a time of course. But you will have to disable the receive function on 2 of them (if possible). If you don't, then an incoming FAX will attempt to sync with all 3 machines and that just won't work. It would be like if 3 people were all trying to talk to you at the same time.

If the machines don't have the ability to disable their receive function (and I find it hard to imagine they wouldn't) you should be able to adjust the number of rings each one waits to pick up. Just make one less rings than the other two.

Yep it must be undesirable, it truly is historic. even with the indisputable fact that in case you've ran it for 2 years it has specially picked up particularly lots of junk that permits you to sluggish it down an unbelievable volume. in case you prefer to keep getting a sparkling workstation at the moment, use the restore CD that ought to have comprise the computer at the same time as you first offered it new, and run that. in reality it thoroughly wipes the coolest deal, inc viruses, insects, unused junk etc off your computer, then re installs the operating technique (E.G. domicile windows) then you actually only have were given to reinstall what you decide on on it. be sure you again up snap pictures and own records pondering it is going to wipe the coolest deal off. in case you now no longer have the restoration CD that you will be able to purchase one from the web web site of your workstation make (E.G. Dell, Packard Bell and so on) for some quid. I in lots of cases do this with my workstation about each and every 10-12months and it is going like lightening afterwards. wish this facilitates!
